The Brad Pitt workout changed from the movie Fight Club to Troy.

In both movies Pitt was lean but in Troy he added another 15 pounds of muscle to his body.

In this article I will give you some detailed information on the two training and fitness programs.

In the movie Troy, Brad Pitt played the role of Achilles — a mythical warrior from Greek history. Achilles according to Greek mythology was the handsomest of all the heroes assembled against Troy. According to the legend Achilles was supposed to be invulnerable, except for his heel.

Well perhaps legend is right Brad Pitt was the most handsome gentleman on the screen in the movie Troy. But perhaps his weakness is not in his heel but in other things. Certainly making money is not one of them… he was paid $17.5 million to be in this movie.

The Brad Pitt workout started 7 months before filming for the movie Troy began. Brett admitted to giving up cigarette smoking during this intensive training. According to his personal trainer, Brad Pitt used compound movements for the majority of his weight training program. He also did stretching and yoga to prevent any muscle injury.

The interesting thing about the Brad Pitt physique in both of his movies — Fight Club and Troy — is that his physique is not what some people would call… bodybuilder big.

Rather what he portrays on the screen is a muscular — yet ripped to the bone Brad Pitt body. Judging the response by women in the audience, this is what they are most attracted to. So if you are trying to get Arnold Schwarzenegger big — you probably won’t score any points with the ladies.

The Brad Pitt workout for Fight Club was totally different than his workout for Troy. In Fight Club, Brad Pitt weighed between — 152 to 155 pounds and his body fat levels were between five and 6%.

* The Brad Pitt workout for Fight Club used the following repetition and set scheme.

* Three Sets of Each Exercise

* Rest for Only 60 Seconds in between Exercises

* Use Enough Weight or Resistance That Allows You to Perform 15 Repetitions

* Use Proper Form in All Movements

Would you like to have a flat, ripped to shreds six pack abs like Brad Pitt?

Muscle Confusion Workout Systems

Do you know — what is the muscle confusion workout systems ?

Do you really need to make your muscles confused to make them grow?

Well not really, you see muscle confusion (MC) is really a training principle that creates variety in your training. The reason to use this training protocol is because muscle confusion prevents plateaus and keeps your muscles growing.

Muscles quickly become accustomed to a training program.

We need to develop different exercises and perform a variety of sets and repetitions. The best way is to cycle your training routine, typically in four week cycles.

By cycling or changing your training program every 4 weeks, your muscles cannot become accustomed to the exercises. This forces your muscles to grow quicker than with any other training method. That is why muscle confusion is such an exciting training principle.

One way to use muscle confusion is to vary the exercises.

For example, if you were doing a barbell incline chest press exercise– you could use a hammer strength incline machine one week and then the following week you could do a dumbbell incline press. While you’re still working the upper chest muscles, you’re hitting them from a different angle and this will stimulate new muscle growth.

By using the muscle confusion workout system — you’re guaranteeing yourself consistent results in your bodybuilding and resistance training workout.

Here are three tips to help you in using the muscle confusion workout systems

Change your exercises every 4 weeks

Mix up the type of equipment that you use. Incorporate the Bully Xtreme, cables or resistance bands in your workout.

Vary the repetitions and the number of sets you use.

By following these 3 tips you will get the Maximum Results from your strength training workouts. Use the muscle confusion workout system and in your training program.

Remember the three most important components of gaining muscle size are:

Proper rest

Proper nutrition

Hard training

Make sure you include these 3 components in your muscle building goals, doing so guarantees fast muscle growth and the body that you dreamed about.

Regardless of whether you want to gain maximum muscle size or lose body fat– or both. The correct exercise equipment and nutrition program are essential.

Before Charles Atlas — also known as Angelo Siciliano — became famous by promoting his exercise course called… Dynamic Tension, there have been many old-time strongman that used body weight (isotonic) and isometric exercises.

One of these individuals was Alexander Zass — better known as — "The Amazing Samson."

(Zass, born in Poland but, lived most of his life in Russia and later on as circus performer lived in Great Britain after 1924.)

The important thing to note about Alexander Zass was how he developed his belief in the application of isometric exercise. Or as he referred to it "Maximum Tension." He believed this training protocol was superior to any other of the normal training programs used by strongman of his day and that included using weights in the development of physical strength

He understood that isometric exercises not only developed muscular strength but, also strengthened the tendons and ligaments which are crucial to developing strength.

The World Strongest Living Man

The amazing Samson, who was also billed as "The World Strongest Living Man" was quoted as saying "I aimed first to develop the underlying connective tissues rather than the superficial muscles," (Taken from His Instruction Manual — Samson Systems and Methods)

He further explained, "I always wanted to develop tendon strength… without tendons, one possesses no control over the muscles and the body… the development of the tendons are the strength to my secret. Muscle alone will not hold back wild horses — but tendons will and do!"

Alexander Zass further stated in his training manual that bodybuilder type muscles were merely an illusion when it came to strength. Although he did not discourage students from developing muscular size — he did instruct them on the practice of tensing their muscles one at a time– then grouping the muscles together and tensing as many of them as possible– all at one time.

In the use of isometric exercises, he outlined 3 distinct methods — and they are as follows:

Freestyle

In freestyle you’re using no devices or appliances you’re just doing freehand isometrics. You are typically just using your own body.

Wall Exercises

In this method, you are using a wall, or even a tree to provide resistance instead of your own body weight or body.

Isometric Exercises Device

Here is the ideal or best way to perform isometric exercises. The disadvantages of both the freestyle and wall exercises is that there’s no effective way to measure your strength gains.

And how do you know you’re using 100% or even 70% power in this exercise? That’s where an isometric exercise device such as the Tensolator or Bully Xtreme comes into play.

These types of bodybuilding contraction devices will allow you not only to measure your strength gains but typically will give you more variety in the type and quantity of isometric exercises you can perform.

The biggest appeal of isometrics is that with a few simple movements and not a whole lot of time you can get a complete body workout — in your home — in your office — or anywhere!

Would you like to gain 10 to 20 lbs of muscle– double your speed–increase your strength by 300% and and blow torch the fat off your body– in no time at all?

Then get all the– rapid muscle gaining programs– super fast easy fat loss diets— mind blowing strength workouts that are guaranteed to give you turbocharged results– and it’s absolutely FREE!

Do you spend most of your day
sitting behind your desk at work?

Or perhaps like me you spend a great deal of time on your computer and don’t have much of a chance to get a workout in. If that’s the case then your problems can be easily solved with desk isometric exercises.

Here are a few desk isometric exercises that can be performed in no time at all:

Abdominal Desk Exercise

Before you begin doing this exercise make sure your chair will not slide or roll. It is best perhaps to push the back of the chair against the wall or some other immovable object. First begin by putting your hands over your head, palms facing outward.with your hands completely outstretched reach down from the waist only and place your palms on the floor. Sit back up and repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times. Breathe out during the beginning of the motion and then inhale while sitting back up again.

Biceps Desk Exercise

While sitting in your chair pull yourself up close to your desk. Place your elbows tightly against your sides and your palms facing upward underneath the desk. Press your palms up against the bottom of the desk and hold for 5 to 10 seconds. Repeat this exercise 3 to 5 times.

Neck Desk Exercise

Place your right palm against the right side of your head gently push your right palm against your head while resisting the push with your head. Hold for 5 to 10 seconds and then repeat on other side. Do this exercise 3 to 5 times on each side of your head.

Triceps Desk Exercise

Place your palms on your desk and elbows tight against your sides, this is while in a seated position of course, pressed downward with your palms and hold for 5 to 10 seconds. Repeat this exercise 3 to 5 times.

Chest Desk Exercise

Place the palms of your hands in front of your chest, your elbows at an approximately 90° angle. Push each palm against each other and hold for 5 to 10 seconds. Repeat this exercise 3 to 5 times.

Perform these exercises 3 to 4 times a week or whenever you can. They will help build strength and definition into your muscles and most importantly give you a much needed break and change in attitude during your workday. The beautiful part about desk isometric exercises is that they require no time or special equipment while you will probably not end up looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger anytime soon, you will have gained stronger and more defined muscles.

Regardless of whether you want to gain maximum muscle size, get toned & fit or lose weight and shed body fat. The correct exercise equipment and nutrition program are essential.

More and more people are tired of of health clubs and their high fees. Now there is a way to get a health club type exercise at home. Here is the secret exercise from home workout.

Join the millions of people who have discovered– how to exercise from home!

More and more Americans are finding it difficult to find the time to exercise at the gym. Many people have found that it is easier to exercise from home for a variety of reasons.

Here are the top three reasons to exercise from home:

1. Save Time: Besides saving time driving to the gym,you will also save time waiting for equipment and unnecessary socializing that usually occurs. You can easily save yourself 1 1/2 to 2 hours of time on each of your workout days by not having to travel to the gym.

2. Save Money: Here in the Northeast an average gym membership at Golds Gym, Powerhouse gym, Bally’s gym, or the New York sports club runs approximately $60 per month. That’s $720 per year. With that kind of money you can outfit a– better than average home gym.

3. Get Faster Results: Okay, okay–I know what you’re saying “how in the world am I going to get faster results by working out at home– instead of the gym?” Well let’s forget about the time savings alone.

The fact that you won’t be traveling back and forth to the gym and dealing with all the stress and aggravation that provides you will begin to find yourself having more energy and a greater mental focus. These two things alone will allow you to get more out of your workouts.

In addition, you’ll be motivated to workout more often because the exercise equipment will be readily available to you.

If you find yourself lacking motivation to train then follow these two tips to jump-start yourself:

1. Set aside a specific area or room for you will not be bothered by anyone who will be able to focus on your workout.

2. Play some energetic or motivational music to get yourself pumped.

3. Track your workouts and create a graph either by hand or on your computer that shows your progress. They say a picture is worth 1000 words and that is so much more truer and staying committed to your exercise at home program

Regardless of whether you want to gain maximum muscle size, get toned & fit or lose weight and shed body fat. The correct exercise equipment and nutrition program are essential.

Do You Want A Bruce Lee Body?

Bruce Lee the mere mention of his name conjures up images of those kung fu movies of the 70s and 80s. Where would Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan and Jet Li… just to mention a few– be today if it hadn’t been for Bruce Lee?

Bruce Lee was not a big man– he stood 5 foot seven and only weighted approximately 135 pounds but what made him stand out was his lean, muscular physique. They now refer to this as the “Bruce Lee Body.”

In the Bruce Lee body the muscles were not the bloated kind you see on today’s modern bodybuilder– instead you saw a V-tapered and, ripped to the bones physique.

Bruce Lee popularized the current day– Hollywood body of the A-list actors. No longer is it acceptable today for an action star to appear in a movie out of shape without being lean, ripped, defined and with six pack abs.

This is the look that Bruce Lee brought to the screen in the 1970s.

Some have asked– what prompted Bruce Lee to get into such incredible physical conditioning? As the story goes in 1964, Bruce Lee then a relatively unknown, ended up in a fight with Wong Jack Man — a no holds barred event.

Bruce Lee won the fight but after the fight he was disgusted with his performance — he felt he should have defeated him faster — he felt his strength and conditioning were subpar — his kicks and strikes needed to be more powerful — and his lungs were screaming for air.

Out of this came a new generation of martial artist-a muscular, yet ripped to the bone– Bruce Lee Body!

After the fight Bruce began a strength, conditioning and endurance training program — as well as his own martial art named Jeet Kune do — “the Way of the intercepting fist”

But Lee was still a far cry from the muscular physique that you see on the screen today — he had bad genetics — he was skinny and stringing — he had very little musculature on a slight frame.

He researched all that he could his main focus — building power, speed and strength. He left no stone unturned.

Regardless of whether you want to gain maximum muscle size or lose body fat– or both. The correct exercise equipment and nutrition program are essential.

There has been much discussion recently about— “what isometric exercise
is?”

Isometrics has been around for thousands of years, examples can often
be seen in the isometric contractions of yoga and the Chinese martial
arts– such as Wushu.

The basic principle of isometrics exercise was discovered by
modern-day science in the 1920s. During research into muscle atrophy,
scientist discovered that when you tied one frog’s leg down, over
time, it grew significantly stronger than the free leg.

Finally in 1953 two German doctors, Drs. Hettinger and Mueller
conducted tests into sometric exercise and applied these tests to the
human body. In their studies they determined that isometrics exercise
was able to increase muscular strength by at least 5% per week.

One of the first to jump on the isometrics bandwagon was the Green Bay
Packers. Some people of that day even credited isometrics as the
source of their incredible seasons in 1961 and 1962.

Shortly thereafter, other NFL teams wanted to know what is isometric
exercise and why it was so effective? Soon thereafter they began using
it in their training. They applied the principles and eventually
caught up to the Green Bay Packers.

Isometrics surged in popularity during the 60s and 70s and was even
adopted by the U.S. Navy as part of their physical training program.

Other people wanted to know “what is isometric exercise”– and why it
was so effective.

One of these individuals was Bob Hoffman, the USA Olympic
weightlifting coach, after researching it, he became a huge proponent
of isometrics.

He began to teach this training method to the US Olympic team. Some of
the Olympians achieved incredible results!

Unfortunately, it was later discovered that some of these individuals
had been using steroids and it tainted the benefits of isometric exercise.

The funny part is that they threw out the baby with the bathwater.

What I mean by that, is that in order for steroids to have any effect
you must also train properly. You won’t add any muscle size by taking
steroids alone. Proper training is still essential! But it was too late

Isometric exercise was disregarded by mainstream bodybuilders and
weight lifters, but it continued to be used by physical therapists and
physicians in the treatment and rehabilitation of many injuries.

In the last 10 to 15 years isometric exercise has made a resurgence.
It has again assumed its place as an effective muscle building
training protocol.

Would you like to know more about How to Get Muscles Fast?

And learn about a revolutionary, Isometric Exercise Portable Home Gym
that only needs 5 minutes to give you six pack abs, increases your
strength by 300% and is patterned after one of Bruce Lee’s training
devices? (Tensolator)

Find out how this simple, Portable Home Gym that offers more than 82
health club quality exercises and resistance levels from 5 to 600
